Real Wedding Feature: Ashley & Brian’s Summertime Ceremony at Harrietta Plantation

Featured Event | by EventWorks

Ashley and Brian tied the knot on a warm June afternoon at the historic Harietta Plantation. The couple showcased the beauty of their venue and incorporated hints of Charleston throughout their event. Nods of blues, elegant details, and a stunning Sailcloth Tent lining the sky makes this southern wedding one for the books!

Standing since 1704, Harrietta Plantation is rich in history and natural beauty. Riding down the long driveway lined with Spanish moss feels like a scene right of the movies. The property’s lush landscaping and aged details make it a beautiful setting for a wedding.

Guests took their seats and observed the ceremony from the comfort of our White Garden Chairs. The simple and classic style of these chairs paired perfectly with the elegant details of the house and lush green backdrop. The stunning setting was captured in a live-painted portrait to hang in the couple’s home forever!

To beat the heat, guests sipped on fresh citrus cocktails from our Highball and Old-Fashioned Glasses and drank chilled champagne from our Pure Champagne Flutes. The couple provided guest seating during cocktail hour using our 48” Round Tables and Antique Infinity Chairs. It’s always nice to have a place for guests to sit during extended cocktail hours or when serving heavy hors d’oeuvres and appetizers.

When it was time to make their way to the reception, guests walked up to an incredible view of a Sailcloth Tent. We love this tent style, because it makes an impression from every angle and creates a breathtaking atmosphere. The translucent canopy top allows natural light to soak through during the day, which adds a warm glow to the entire space.

Under the tent, guest tables were lined with our Antique Infinity Chairs. The chairs’ wood tones complemented the delicate floral centerpieces and candles.

The table settings were simple and clean to keep the focus on the other décor and beautiful surroundings. The tables were set with our Magnolia China and Estate Tumbled Flatware and topped with a Linen Napkin.

One of the Sailcloth Tent’s best features is its layout. The tent’s shape and center poles add separation between the dining area and the party. Guest seating typically wraps the outer edge of the tent, so the bar and dance floor become the focal point of the space. This layout gives all guests a view of the wedding festivities throughout the evening, and everyone can catch a glimpse of the couple’s first dance from the comfort of their seats.

In the middle of the tent, the couple used multiple pieces of our Halfmoon Round Bar to create a 360-degree spot for their guests to grab a drink. They also chose the Birchwood + White Dance floor to complement the Sailcloth Tent’s wood poles.

Lounge seating is a key element of any successful event. A great lounge area gives guests a place to relax once dinner has wrapped and a spot to catch their breath after busting a move on the dance floor. For this lounge arrangement, the couple used our Sophie Glass Coffee Tables. These tables are extremely versatile, but we most often see them paired with our Antoinette Lounge and Adele Sofa + Chair.

Our Champagne Tower isn’t just for cocktail hour – the couple’s party favors looked great on this display! They gifted their guests with personalized venue candles, so everyone could take a little piece
of Charleston home with them.

The reception only grew more beautiful when the sun went down. As the night continued with drinks, dancing and fun, our Café Lighting added a glow to the tent and lit up the night sky.

We were so happy to be a part of Ashley and Brian’s wedding day! Congrats to the happy couple.

The Sailcloth Tent: Sophisticated & Stylish Shelter For Your Next Event

| by EventWorks

With its elegant lines and magical glow, our Sailcloth Tent provides a sophisticated setting for events of all kinds. The tent’s design is timeless and versatile, with a unique translucent canopy top and timber poles that set it apart from the standard frame pole tent. Whether you’re hosting a coastal celebration, a plantation courtyard ceremony, a woodsy meadow wedding or a backyard gathering, the Sailcloth Tent is the perfect option for adding shelter and styled to your space. We’re sharing a few reasons why we love this tent and a few of our other favorite accent items to pair with it.

The translucent canopy top creates a gorgeous setting in the daylight and beneath the stars.

The Sailcloth Tent’s winning feature is its lightweight and waterproof top. The canopy allows natural light to soak through during the day, while still shading guests from the heat. Most tents fade into the background as the night goes on, but the Sailcloth Tent glows with light and becomes a stunning sight for evening affairs.

You don’t have to sacrifice style for shelter if bad weather happens to hit.

Many of our clients only order tents as a back-up plan, in case bad weather unexpectedly arrives on their big day. The Sailcloth Tent is the perfect Plan B! It’s waterproof and durable to provide your guests with
shelter from the storm, without looking to heavy. Even on a rainy day, the Sailcloth Tent will create a beautiful reception area and give your spaces a “wow” factor from every angle.

It’s the perfect fit for smaller places.

If you need a tent for your event but have limited space at your cozy venue, the Sailcloth Tent is a great solution. Its airy design will enhance the setting without taking away from the venue’s natural beauty and views.

The Sailcloth Tent is already stunning on its own, so it doesn’t take much more to complete a reception space below the translucent canopy. Here are a few of our favorite products to pair with this piece.

Wooden Uprights for Café Lighting

Our Wooden Uprights for café lighting are the perfect complement to the Sailcloth Tent’s timber poles. Use them for your outdoor cocktail hour, lounge area, or along the walkway leading to the tent.

Half Moon & Chameleon Bars

We love seeing clients use our Half Moon Bars and Chameleon Bars to create one-of-a-kind bar spaces at their events! Use multiple pieces to create a large round or square bar in the middle of the tent so your guests can order a drink from any side. Garnish your bar with florals and décor for a show-stopping centerpiece.

Farm Tables & Chairs

Use our Farm Tables, Natural XBack Chairs, and Antique Infinity Chairs to create a glowing seating area under the tent. The natural light from the canopy will highlight the softness and warmth in the wood tones.

Wooden Dance Floors

Our light wood dance floors are a great pair for the Sailcloth Tent. Our Driftwood and Birchwood options are beautiful on their own or checkered with White.

Lounge Seating

It is always a good idea to provide extra lounge seating so your guests have a place to catch their breath between songs and enjoy late-night conversations. Our Blythe, Adele, and Antoinette lounge sets match the aesthetic of the Sailcloth Tent and will create a sophisticated seating area below the canopy.

We are so excited to reintroduce our Sailcloth Tent and can’t wait to see how our clients style them at their next events! To see more of the Sailcloth Tent and these complementary products in action, follow us on

Staff Spotlight: Brandon

News | by EventWorks

We are so excited to introduce Brandon to the EventWorks team! Over the past year, he has been working tirelessly to get the new Jacksonville location up and running.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, Brandon got an early start inthe tent and party industry. He eventually made his way to work for our sister company, Peachtree Tents and Events in January of 2011. This past year, he was
promoted to Director of Operations for the Jacksonville location and began preparing for his role by visiting our existing locations and learning about all of our processes.

Brandon is most excited about the new inventory (especially the farm tables that he helped build) and sharing what we do best with Jacksonville and surrounding areas! He plans on making EventWorks Jacksonville
the biggest and best party rental store in the Florida market has ever seen!

When Brandon isn’t at EventWorks, you will find him with his three boys and wife! They love to travel together and grow their very own peppers for the Brantley family hot sauces. On the weekends, you’ll catch them cheering on the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Falcons.

We are thrilled to welcome Brandon to the EventWorks family and look forward to celebrate his many accomplishments!

Real Wedding Feature: Austin + Chase’s Surprise Ceremony at the Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club

| by EventWorks

The EventWorks team is well-versed in weddings - from simple ceremonies to elaborate extravaganzas, we’ve been there for our clients through all kinds of nuptials. But, it’s not every day that we get to help a couple celebrate a surprise wedding. When Austin and Chase invited their friends and family to the Ponte Vedra Lodge & Club to celebrate their engagement, the couple left one very important detail off of the invite… the two would be tying the knot that same day! The surprise ceremony was beachfront bliss, complete with copper tones and coastal details.

Before guests arrived, the couple snuck away to soak up their last few moments together before becoming husband and wife. The photos would not have been complete without their adorable black lab, Colt!

As friends and family arrived at the venue, they were greeted by a sign that revealed the big surprise. The guests were completely caught off guard , and these candid moments of everyone’s shock and celebration turned into the sweetest photos.

Once everyone found their seats and had a chance to catch their breath, the wedding began. Austin and Chase said their “I do’s” beneath a sun-soaked trellis and stunning floral installation from Shea Hopely Flowers. The endless ocean views were mesmerizing and made a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony.

The ceremony space doubled as the reception area, so the tables were kept clear of decor until dinnertime. Our Light Blue Linens resembled the clear ocean skies and our Antique Infinity Chairs were a near-perfect color match with the trellis and sandy beaches. The rattan lanterns mimicked the sunlight leaking through the trellis slats and the soft colors in the florals tied everything together.

To complete the reception space, the couple chose our Slate Velvet Sofa, our Soho Lounge Chairs and Sophie Coffee Table. The lush fabric of the velvet sofa offered a comfy place for guests to watch the bride and groom share their first dance on the White and Driftwood Dancefloor. The combination of clean lines, soft fabrics and metal details brought a modern romantic vibe to the open-air space.

As the sun began to set, The Band Be Easy led everyone into a full evening of dancing on top of our Stage and White Stage Façade.

Austin and Chase’s surprise ceremony is one of our favorite events to date and one we will never forget. Thank you for letting EventWorks be part of your one-of-a-kind wedding. Congrats to the happy couple!
