EventWorks Staff Spotlight: Meet Megan Mahoney, Client Relations and Sales Manager
After graduating from Valdosta State University with a BFA in Theater, Megan Mahoney knew she wanted to be involved in the event planning industry. She loves the challenge and reward of executing an event from start to finish. Megan began her career at the DeSoto Hotel in downtown Savannah as a catering assistant. During her nine year tenure with the company, she learned the foundation of hospitality services and made several career advancements. Megan was promoted into the Hotel’s catering sales department before becoming its convention services manager.
When EventWorks decided to open a location in Savannah, Sebrell Smith (link), a local event designer and friend, referred Megan to the company. One visit to the Charleston showroom and warehouse sealed the deal. She knew the Savannah market had nothing comparable to EventWorks and appreciated the founding principles of the company - top of the line inventory, a keen eye for logistics, thorough care for the products and outgoing team members who understand how to support event professionals.
